Originally published in , this book includes personal testimonies regarding the author and his art from James Y. Lee, the legendary Ed Parker, and jujutsu icon Wally Jay. Through hand-drawn diagrams and captioned photo sequences, Lee’s text comes to life as he demonstrates a variety of training exercises and fighting techniques/5(15).   On this episode of Bruce Lee Collecting, through my "Show and Tell" format, I share with you Bruce Lee's first book that he wrote and put out in ! It's called Chinese Gung Fu The Philosophical.

Appendix 3 (pg. ) shows images from Bruce Lee’s “Gung Fu” scrapbook which show different styles of gung fu and various actions. And on pages of the same book contains his ideas and opinions dealing with Traditions and Histories of Chinese Gung Fu, including more images from his scrapbooks. An interesting one this. This is one of the few books actually published while Bruce was still alive. Its very short with large print. Combine this with the drawings and photographs and what you are left with is not much more than a pamphlet showing some of the basic moves of Chinese Gung Fu/5(92).

Whereas the "Chinese Gung Fu" book sold for $, the "instruction chart"/poster sold for only $ I have no idea how many were sold but I have only seen two others in more than 40 years of collecting. The poster is unhung with no holes in the corners or evidence of tape - some feathering along the edges but essentially very good condition. Buy Chinese Gung Fu: The Philosophical Art of Self-Defense 3rd by Lee, Bruce (ISBN: ) from Amazon's Book Store. Everyday low /5(87).
